A WORLD UNRAVELING
Two Black Rose nobles meet in a dive bar in Zaun, calmly discussing their plans to destroy the city. While they talk, events begin to unfold elsewhere. Rek’Sai is seen disrupting their plans in the harsh Shuriman desert, while Pyke operates in the shadows aboard a Bilgewater pirate ship. The trailer builds toward a confrontation, ending with Ekko turning the tables on the nobles - both figuratively and literally.

PUNK NOIR
Our visual direction drew heavily from the mood and framing of cloak-and-dagger cinema. The character styling and use of shadow were also inspired by Ninja Scroll, with its sharp silhouettes and dramatic lighting. We worked with richly textured environments and defined light sources to create a look that felt both animated and tangible. This approach helped bring weight to the story and gave each moment a strong sense of place and tone.







WORLDS BUILT ON TONE
The environments were crafted to reflect the mood of each scene. Zaun’s bar was dense and atmospheric, lit with heavy shadows. The desert scenes brought scale and high contrast. On the pirate ship, the tone shifted toward horror, with a focus on dread and darkness. Each location was designed to feel grounded, yet heightened by the trailer’s cinematic treatment.
