Nostalgia Unleashed

Having grown up in the 90s watching the animated X-Men series, this project was a dream come true. Not to mention, getting to work with my favourite Marvel characters, Blade and Wolverine, was nothing short of extraordinary.

We drew inspiration from the show’s unforgettable opening sequence to craft a title sequence that captures the same raw energy and attitude of the original while also managing to bring it into a modern context.

A personal highlight of the project for me was crafting the perfect marriage between character poses and logo design while creating compositions that packed a punch and also honoured these Marvel heroes.

Shadows In The Spotlight

The title sequence debuted at Disney's D23 Expo, and the response - live in the room and from the millions streaming - was electric. The project had come together beautifully. Dynamic camera movements and transitions gave life to a sequence that drew viewers in and kept them on the edge of their seats, while the powerful dark visuals gave it a distinctive edge. The talented team at Sun Creature Studios elevated the whole thing with their creativity, technical chops and world-class animation.

Heroes Never Fade

It ended up being more of a love letter to characters I grew up on than a title sequence. By blending nostalgic elements with contemporary animation, we made something for both long-time fans and newcomers to the Marvel universe.
